… and i am using “literally” in an old fashion way. it really chaps my arse that “literally” can now mean its very opposite. and if you are a young whipper-snapper that is ok with that,… well, get off my lawn!….
… no wait!… come back!…
….so i’ve always had this urge to write. but the blank page has always been a great wall. yeah, of course i want my first opus to be parallel to George R. R. Martin, but once i decided to settle for less, i thought i should just write, anything, whatever, just do it. i have a few essays here and there, but they don’t have a noble birth, as they stem from times when someone else was wrong on the internet (though i got one that is getting published around September of 2014).
anywhooo, i have started a series of short stories. i’m calling them “timezero”. my intention with them is that they will be very short, might not even cover a whole story arch. the name comes from the old (about as old as i) Polaroid SX-70 film. my first creative passion is photography, and this film was famous because it could be manipulated while it developed. plus, the name alone “timezero” just sounds cool in a hipster kind of way.
i have three so far. i can’t promise any schedule for new ones. though number four and five are brewing. all of these stories will be utterly unrelated and unconnected to each other. so they can be read in any order.
ok, enough prattling….
(feedback welcomed, honestly.)
